CHENNAI In an trouble to avoid erratic development, the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority will concentrate on developing Thirumazhisai, Minjur, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpet as satellite municipalities around the state capital, preparing new city development plans and laying roads along these corridors for better connectivity. Minister for casing and civic development S Muthusamy made the advertisement in the state assembly on Wednesday. 

As per the alternate master plan for Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA) expansion, the offer included areas in Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet and Arakkkonam taluk covering sq km. The proposed expansion had formerly been gauged down from sq km and officers suggested that after consultations with original bodies, it may further come down as the focus is now on perpendicular development within the megacity rather than expanding it horizontally. 

CMDA has formerly prepared a grid of roads plan for 196 profit townlets in the CMA to give better transport installations in uninhabited areas.
